Fresh mixed fruits in a creamy vanilla yogurt dressing with honey and orange zest.

# Ingredient list:

→ Fresh Fruits

01 - 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
02 - 1 cup seedless grapes, halved
03 - 1 cup pineapple chunks, fresh or canned, drained
04 - 1 cup kiwi, peeled and diced
05 - 1 cup mandarin orange segments, canned drained or fresh
06 - 1 banana, sliced

→ Creamy Dressing

07 - 1 cup Greek yogurt, plain or vanilla
08 - 1/4 cup sour cream
09 - 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
10 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
11 - Zest of 1 orange

→ Optional Garnishes

12 - 1/4 cup chopped toasted nuts, almonds or pecans
13 - 2 tablespoons shredded coconut

# Directions:

01 - Place all prepared fruits in a large mixing bowl. Gently toss to distribute evenly without mashing delicate pieces.
02 - In a separate bowl, whisk Greek yogurt, sour cream, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and orange zest until completely smooth and well blended.
03 - Pour the creamy dressing over the fruit mixture. Fold gently to coat all pieces evenly, taking care to maintain the integrity of softer fruits like bananas.
04 - Transfer to a serving bowl. Sprinkle with toasted nuts and shredded coconut if desired. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours for a chilled, refreshing presentation.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The cream dressing turns ordinary fruit into something that feels like dessert but still feels wholesome and light
  • It travels beautifully and actually tastes better after the flavors have mingled for a couple hours
  • Everyone thinks you fussed but you just tossed things together in one bowl
02 -
  • Bananas will oxidize and turn brown if they sit too long in the dressing so fold them in right before you plan to serve
  • The dressing thins out as the fruit releases its juices so if you make it ahead do not add all the dressing at once
  • Acidic fruits like pineapple and kiwi can actually curdle dairy if they sit together too long so this is best eaten the same day
03 -
  • Macintosh or Gala apples add a lovely crunch without browning as quickly as other varieties
  • A tiny pinch of salt in the dressing makes all the flavors pop and taste more vibrant
