- Set oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian herbs. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5 minutes. Drain any excess fat and set aside to cool slightly.
- Spread the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and roll into a 12 x 10 inch rectangle.
- Evenly spread the pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a 0.75 inch border around the edges.
- Distribute the cooked beef over the sauce, then arrange pepperoni slices. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Tightly roll the dough from a long side to create a log, pinching the seam to seal. Slice the log into 8 equal sections.
- Place the pieces cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly brush the tops with olive oil.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden and cheese is bubbling.
- Let cool for 3 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped fresh basil or parsley if desired. Serve with additional pizza sauce for dipping.
