# Ingredient list:

→ Meat

01 - 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)

→ Seasonings

02 - 1 tsp kosher salt
03 - 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
04 - 1 tsp garlic powder
05 - 1 tsp onion powder
06 - 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

→ Optional Add-ins

07 - 2 tbsp breadcrumbs (for extra tenderness, optional)
08 - 1 egg (optional, for binding if using leaner beef)

→ To Serve

09 - 4 hamburger buns
10 - Lettuce leaves
11 - Sliced tomato
12 - Sliced onion
13 - Sliced pickles
14 - Cheese slices (optional)
15 - Ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise

# Directions:

01 - In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and optional breadcrumbs and egg if desired. Mix gently until just combined—avoid overmixing for tender patties.
02 - Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 3/4-inch thick. Use your thumb to make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
03 - Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for 3 minutes before cooking.
04 - Arrange the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving a little space between them for proper air circulation.
05 - Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until patties reach your desired doneness (160°F internal temperature for medium-well).
06 - If using cheese, add a slice to each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow melting.
07 - Remove patties from the air fryer and let rest for 2 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
08 - Assemble burgers with buns and desired toppings. Serve immediately.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The air fryer creates this gorgeous crust on the outside while keeping the inside incredibly juicy
  • Cleanup takes about 30 seconds instead of scrubbing splattered grease off your stovetop
  • You can have restaurant-quality burgers on the table in under 25 minutes start to finish
02 -
  • Never press down on patties with your spatula. You're literally squeezing out all the juice you worked to keep inside.
  • The thumb indentation isn't optional. Without it, your burgers will look like hamburger buns by the time they're cooked.
  • A meat thermometer takes the guesswork out and ensures you never overcook them.
03 -
  • Toasting your buns in the air fryer for 1 to 2 minutes after the patties cook makes everything better
  • Letting formed patties chill in the fridge for 30 minutes before cooking helps them hold their shape
